No cases to stock

One keg replaces 27 bottles. No more back rooms full of cases, no ice buckets, no half-finished bottles going flat.

Wine on tap, explained.

Kegged wine, explained

Premium wine, poured on tap like draft beer.

Wine on tap means your house wines come in sealed stainless steel kegs instead of bottles. Our wine kegs connect to a draft system and pour fresh, perfectly chilled wine by the glass, carafe or spritz. No oxidized half-bottles, no corks, no waste.

Every Wine Stream keg is filled at our winery in Tampa, Florida, with premium wines, most of them from Italy's best regions. One keg replaces 27 bottles, pours about 110 glasses, and stays fresh for 365 days once it's tapped.

    Questions

    Wine on tap, answered.

    What is wine on tap?

Wine on tap (also called kegged wine or draft wine) is wine stored in sealed stainless steel kegs and poured through a tap, just like draft beer. Every glass is poured fresh, with no corks, no open bottles and nothing poured down the drain at the end of the night.

How long does a keg of wine stay fresh?

Our kegs are sealed against oxygen, light and bacteria, so the wine stays fresh for 365 days from the day you tap it. The last glass tastes like the first.

How much wine is in one keg?

Each Wine Stream keg is a 1/6 barrel (5.16 gallons). That's the same as 27 bottles of wine, or about 110 six-ounce glasses.

Which wines do you offer on tap?

Twelve wines: Prosecco Extra Dry, Moscato, Chardonnay, Pinot Grigio, Sauvignon Blanc, Rosé, Sangria, Pinot Noir, Merlot, Chianti, Cabernet Sauvignon and a Super Tuscan.

Is wine on tap right for my restaurant, bar or hotel?

If you pour wine by the glass, yes. Kegged wine cuts waste and storage, speeds up service and keeps every glass consistent. Most of our accounts see a 30% increase in wine sales after switching to wine on tap.

Where can I get Wine Stream wine kegs?

Wine Stream is on tap in Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Ohio and Michigan. Our kegs are delivered and serviced by our beverage distribution partners, just like beer.

The Bay of Naples and Mount Vesuvius at night

    About Wine Stream

    From Napoli to Tampa.

An Italian family, a lifetime of restaurants, and one simple idea: great wine shouldn't cost a fortune by the glass.

    Our story

We left Napoli and brought Italy with us.

In 2004 our family came to America and settled in Tampa. For years we imported our Italian favorites to our family-owned restaurants, and we saw the same problem everywhere: the wine-by-the-glass business was inefficient. Packaging and supply costs pushed prices up and quality down.

So we started Wine Stream. Our founder, Massimiliano Boscaino, travels to Italy every year to hand-select grapes and works with award-winning wineries to tailor each wine for the American palate. The wine is kegged straight from the vat in stainless steel and poured fresh on draft.

Today we are a proud family-run business serving bars, restaurants and hotels across eight states, revolutionizing the wine industry one keg at a time.

“Wineries have been using stainless steel for over 50 years. It has been proven to be the best container for wine.”

    Every year, in Italy

    Hand-selected at the vineyard.

    A Cigar City landmark

Where 700 cigar makers once worked.

In the early 1900s Tampa was the cigar capital of the world, and West Tampa was at its heart. The Pendas y Alvarez company, in business since 1897 on Spring Street, moved into this brick factory on Albany Avenue in May 1909. It was designed by Tampa architect Fred J. James and built to hold 700 workers.

Its tower carried clocks on four sides and a bell that rang on the hour and the half hour, keeping time for the whole neighborhood. Just a couple dozen of Tampa's cigar factories survive today. This is one of them.
